HI, sorry for not posting for almost two weeks... I've been busy with a thing called work, and it's occupying my time pretty well. (But
that's okay, because I'm making $$$, so..) While being so busy, I haven't had time to go out on the daily adventures, therefore I decided to do a different kind of post... Since school is just around the corner, why not post about the beginning of my freshman year (last year)?! {and I'm already going to apologize for the iPhone-crappy-quality pictures right now, so prepare yourself.} This time last year I flew away from the nest (haha, okay done being cheesy). I'm not going to pretend that moving away from my parents/friends/home was the saddest day, I think we all knew I was ready. And it turned out to be THE BEST THING EVER. Partying till 3 am every single night... Joking, mom. No, but the beginning of my freshman year did involve: - ridiculously long midnight walks with my new roomates (which our walks were so long, we almost decided to camp out on the grass by the stadium and call it quits.) - school events (chalk dance, foam party, HOWL, etc.) - concrete jungle (RIP) - midnight iHop pancakes - losing my dang room key about 6748375498 times - staying up till 2 am and waking up at 6 am (not doing that this year) - 8 am art classes - climbing stairs-beyond-stairs with luggage-beyond-luggage @ the dorm - birthday parties, movie nights, bookin' it to class on my bike without breaks, shortcuts in the cemetery to make it to class on time, weeks of wearing sweats and leggings becuz lazy day everyday, tons & tons of coffee, photo assignments, and the attempted "study sesh" for my JCOM class (lol @ that), and the list could go on... So, basically to sum up this post, I'm excited for school to start! Mainly for the events + meeting new people + art classes. Y-A-Y. PS: Can't wait to see my Davis peeps again :) yesterday part II
I'm also finishing up this post on a computer battery that's less than 10%, so if I can finish this post before it dies, then I should receive some sort of medal. L-o-l. Any who, just some more Salt Lake shenanigans. We stumbled upon a community garden (which I didn't know was an actual "thing," I always saw them in tv shows) Then the city library, rode the glass elevators a couple times, we talked, walked up on the roof, Sveta played in the grass and while I was taking her pictures she violently pushed me and yelled "COP," which I'm STILL wondering why she did that when the cop was 10-feet away. (Good job Sveta). Anyways, we wandered around some more and then called it a night. And I just finished this post w/o it dying. woooooooooooooooo. xoxo So I've learned to fall in love with the simple things, and this rain... Is one of those things.
Although, I would prefer it to not be humid... But you can't have your cake and eat it too. So. Any who, yesterday my dad and I journeyed up to Dog Lake in Millcreek while it was still drizzling rain. And it was perfect. It was pretty. So yaaaaaaaaaay. It was a success. And I even saw a couple happy dogs along the way. :) On the way back down, my dad and I saw 2 deer on the road eating. So, me, wanting a "Snow White moment" tried to walk towards them... I got pretty close until they ran off and my dreams were crushed. (whatever) And that was the day. xoxo |
